The gîte and its location:
The gîte occupies the site of an old mill at the entrance to the village of Poligny. Here, water has always flowed, cascaded or rested on the rolling, green land beside the river. With its back turned to the noise of the town, the property benefits from abundant vegetation and beautiful views over the hills and cliffs of this remote Jura region.
The gîte was completely redesigned and fitted out in 2024, based on a carpentry workshop and its industrial references.

Children are welcome. Parents' attention is drawn to the need to control their play and movements, both indoors and outdoors.
The site is equipped and rented for 14 people. It is preferable to rent the whole site. However, it is possible to book for up to 8 people and still benefit from the exclusivity and attractiveness of the gîte with fewer rooms and at a lower cost.
"Les Ateliers du Moulin 14" package :
It sleeps up to 14 people in a single building around an impressive common room with mill wheel below.
The ground floor offers 90m² of open space plus mezzanines and 8.5m of ridge height: living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, WC. From the living room, guests can set the mill wheel in motion. They light it up and watch it come to life under a beautiful glass slab. This space seats 14 at table. There is also an open-plan room of 45m², which is a living room, kitchen, dining area, games room and television room. This room has its own access from the street and direct access to the rest of the gîte.
The gîte has 2 fully-equipped kitchens with electrical appliances, utensils and crockery, with all household equipment in duplicate except for the tumble dryer and plancha. Because of this and the layout of the premises, a group wishing to do so could split into 2 sub-groups, combining independence and communal living in excellent conditions. Think about sharing this beautiful gîte and sharing the cost with people of your choice.
The bedrooms : on the ground floor, there are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (160cm) and one with 2 twin beds (90cm); 2 shower rooms and 2 WCs. The 1st floor offers 4 bedrooms for up to 10 people (1 double bed and 8 twin beds), 3 shower rooms and 1 separate WC.
Outside : Guests have access to a ground-level wooden terrace overlooking a lawn. Another terrace overlooks the property and the surrounding countryside. Ideal for keeping cool in summer, the suspended, covered north gallery overlooks the orchard, river and coast opposite. A carport or covered courtyard can accommodate 2 vehicles or other uses such as table tennis or receptions if required. Parking is easy in the immediate vicinity of the gîte.
Guests have access to the orchard and paths on the property, the stream that cascades alongside the building, the banks of the shallow river that runs alongside the property, the pond and the small canal that crosses the property. Outside the enclosed areas reserved for the gîte, the adults in the group are solely responsible for the safety and behaviour of the children.
Les Ateliers du Moulin 8’ package :
This option accommodates up to 8 people, who benefit from the exclusivity of the gîte with its large 90m² lounge/dining room/kitchen and a number of bedrooms and shower rooms to suit the number of people. There are 2 bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor (see formula 14). On the 2nd floor, 2 or 3 bedrooms depending on the composition of the group (1 bed 180, all other beds can be twinned), 2 or 3 shower rooms, one of which is in a bedroom, and 1 separate WC.

Our prices below are given as an indication. The full price list is available on the Gîtes de France Jura website, which handles a significant proportion of our bookings. There is an additional charge of €130 or €110 for cleaning, depending on the option chosen, and €1.32 per adult per night for tourist tax.
